The Friends’ Book Depot is holding a sale that slashes its already-low prices in half.
Sale days are July 24, 26, 27, 28.
The half-price sale includes everything in the store, including books for teachers and back-to-school.
The Book Depot has thousands of used hardcovers, paperbacks, CDs and DVDs in its bright, well-organized space. Its regular prices are already a bargain: Most hardbacks are priced at $3, and children's books are as low as 50 cents.
The store is open 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays and Fridays, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. It is located in building H-15 in the B&A Flea Market, Stuart. Donations of books are welcome at the back, at doorway H-3.
Purchases can be made with cash or check. The Book Depot is not equipped to handle credit cards.
Operated by volunteers, the Book Depot is a project of the Friends of the Martin County Library System, a non-profit organization that raises funds for programs, materials and equipment at the county’s six public libraries.
